Im suspeding this blog until further notice.

The less time I spend writting the more time I have to make something new. I’m making new stuff constantly and dont really have the time to upload it, even thought I want to write the thought process behind it I dont do it because it’s time consuming and I rather spend it outside of the computer since I spend plenty of time looking at the screen. So I am not uploading anything on this blog until I change my mind. Like I said, Im still making artwork and you should deffinetly check out my deviantArt and flikr account.

08 // Retrospective

ah… 2008. It went by so fast. I feel like I did… very little actually. As far as artwork goes, 08’s summer was specially weak. I proably got only a few pieces done, but then again thats what happens when vacations come and you really feel like doing nothing :)

here is some of last years artwork, all of these images are somewhere in this site..  hunting them all one by one would actually take some work.

#1. “Oesis Skie” For the Sci-Fi Junkie

Oesis Skie deffinetly got me the most traffic and its the reason why I have over 10k views. Im pretty sure its the fact that its a pretty cool background that can be downloaded for free at my deviantart account.

Vector Leopard

This image was part of a 5 project “take home test” I had to do recently for FIT (nyc) application proccess.  The project was to “using six images, illustrate the key components of the process that are necessary to complete an action.” I first thought about recreating people or sports but quickly changed my mind for something different, choosing an animal instead.

I worked on illustrator most of the time, creating the trees and leopards. Then switch it back to photoshop to add even more details and to get the right color.

Another old drawing.. this one is from about a year or two ago. Evertime I look at it I want to use it somewhere else or create a new image out of it… Maybe I’ll actually work with it some other time in the future. I can’t remeber the actual size of it since i dont have it anymore but it may have been somethig like 9×12.

Where No Beast Can Be Found

My lateless. SelfPortrait.Photoshop+NikonD80.Stock image. CustonLightBrush.

1 The desert and the parched land will be glad;
       the wilderness will rejoice and blossom.
       Like the crocus, 2 it will burst into bloom;
       it will rejoice greatly and shout for joy.
       The glory of Lebanon will be given to it,
       the splendor of Carmel and Sharon;
       they will see the glory of the LORD,
       the splendor of our God.

 3 Strengthen the feeble hands,
       steady the knees that give way;

 4 say to those with fearful hearts,
       “Be strong, do not fear;
       your God will come,
       he will come with vengeance;
       with divine retribution
       he will come to save you.”

 5 Then will the eyes of the blind be opened
       and the ears of the deaf unstopped.

 6 Then will the lame leap like a deer,
       and the mute tongue shout for joy.
       Water will gush forth in the wilderness
       and streams in the desert.

 7 The burning sand will become a pool,
       the thirsty ground bubbling springs.
       In the haunts where jackals once lay,
       grass and reeds and papyrus will grow.

 8 And a highway will be there;
       it will be called the Way of Holiness.
       The unclean will not journey on it;
       it will be for those who walk in that Way;
       wicked fools will not go about on it. [a]

 9 No lion will be there,
       nor will any ferocious beast get up on it;
       they will not be found there.
       But only the redeemed will walk there,

 10 and the ransomed of the LORD will return.
       They will enter Zion with singing;
       everlasting joy will crown their heads.
       Gladness and joy will overtake them,
       and sorrow and sighing will flee away.”

Where was Waldo on July 20, 1969???

Buzz Aldrin walks on the moon, July 20, 1969 (link)

So all these years you thought Neil Armstrong was the first man to set foot on the moon? think again.
I have found clear evidence that WALDO was there before we even knew he excisted.

I wasn’t even looking for him, but I’m honored to say that I FOUND WALDO. The media may deny his excistence but these pictures say otherwise.

a closer look

 and even closer

Now the world knows where Waldo was the day men first walked on the moon. and I found him.

Nick’s Pink Fury

This piece was actually pretty cool to make. Easy and fun, I was going for an urban girly type with some text on it and I’m pretty happy with the overall look of it. I’ve been wanting to go back to this graphic/photomontage style for a while but haven’t really done it until now.

The model is my super awesome firend Nicky. I promised her I would get her something like this for her birthday (which was last week… yeah im late, i know) and took the chance to try a couple of new brushes and vectors I found somewhere in the internet.

Also,

I’ve been checking out some pretty cool blogs lately, bittbox, beex, and  myinkblog to name a few. They are pretty popular out there but I didn’t even know they existed until recently. I have found some really great stuff there and my portable hard drive has tons of new arsenal for my future graphics.

Costume

I had no photoshop for about about a month, so I worked on a few things on ink, then I finally got photoshop back! worked on about 2 little things and then my computer’s hardware died… but it resurected! and then it died again. and then it worked! and then it died again… and now its working.. but Im not sure for how long.

So Im pretty much working off my portable hard drive. 320G its more than enough. Now I have a bunch of things to do, and Im behind on some stuff I’ve been wanting to work on for a while.

This is something silly I did for halloween. It kind of works well with the crazy unemployment thats been going on lately (unless you are working for the goverment of course)

halloween costume or real life crisis?

 halloween costume or real life crisis?

I’ll get more stuff up later.
